The sale of the huge, historic building has sparked interest due to its unique features and prominent position in the community. Indianapolis-based Core Redevelopment placed the winning bid for the former School for the Creative Arts building in a public auction. No word yet on Core’s plans for the property. The 235,000 square foot Renaissance Revival building was constructed in 1907-1908 as the third home for Woodward High School, the first public school west of the Alleghenies.
